The Legacy Wall sits along Coast Walk Trail, right next to the historic Cave Store on Coast Blvd. Friends of Coast Walk Trail started this wall years ago. Today, the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy stewards the program and keeps it growing.
A plaque on the wall gives you a permanent spot on one of La Jolla’s most visited coastal landmarks. You can honor yourself, your family, or your business. Every dollar raised goes straight to trail repairs, restoration, and upkeep of our coastline, from Coast Walk Trail to Cuvier Park.

Size, price, and timing
Plaques are cast bronze, precision-tooled, and made from lead-free alloy.
Inscriptions
Plaques can be customized with your preferred message. As a guideline, we suggest 3-5 lines of text at approximately ¼” tall. However, we’ll work with you to finalize your inscription and styling to create a piece that is both visually pleasing and meaningful to you. Space, legibility, and aesthetics are important, so the final wording and layout may be refined during the design process.
To reflect La Jolla’s vibrant spirit, we encourage “in honor of” and “in celebration of” dedications in lieu of “in memory of” dedications. Some of the best plaques honoring deceased loved ones mention why this area meant so much to the person being honored.

La Jolla Coastal Conservancy (Tax ID 33-4467883) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Plaque purchases are tax deductible. Proceeds go directly to trail repairs, native revegetation, and other maintenance projects along the 1.5mi stretch of the La Jolla coast.
